VP of Compliance
Chris joins UPM as Vice President, Compliance, responsible for increasing compliance awareness with policies, training and audits. He will coordinate across several of our teams and assist the Care Center Compliance Liaisons in the various states to ensure best practices and an appreciation of the importance of compliance in our industry and our company. He also serves as a liaison with Operations for the Clinical Governance Board, the individual Care Centers and UPM.
Chris joins us from Triad Hospitals, Inc., where he was Vice President of a multi-billion dollar holding company comprised of 51 hospitals, 10 outpatient surgery centers and a management services company. There, he led the enterprise through a Corporate Integrity Agreement with the Office of the Inspector General.
Prior to Triad, Chris was Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for Gentiva Health Services and its predecessor company, Olsten Corporation. In addition, while working as a healthcare consultant previously, he brought a culture of compliance to clinical labs, implant and biologics, pharmacies and physician practices nationwide. Chris remains active on two private healthcare boards and is a former chair of the HCCA Home Care Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History (Legal Area Studies) from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky.
